1.
Short title and commencement: -
(1) These Ordinances may be called the Kerala University First Ordinances, 1978.
(2)
They
shall come into force at once.
2.
Interpretation:-
The
words and expressions used in the Kerala University Act, 1974, (17 of 1974) and
the Kerala University First Statutes, 1977 and used but not defined in these
Ordinances shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the said
Act or Statutes.
3.
Repeal: -
The Ordinances made under the Kerala
University Act, 1969 ( 9 of 1969) in so far as they relate to matters for which
provision has been made in these Ordinances, shall stand repealed:
Provided that any order made or action taken under the Ordinances so repealed shall be deemed to have been made or issued under the corresponding provisions of these Ordinances.
