History
The opening of the Mannaniya College Of Arts & Science marked the fulfillment of a long -cherished dream of the Jamiya Mannaniya Islamiya Charitable Society. It was understood by the socially concerned dignitaries and others that, Pangode an underdeveloped rural area, four kilometers east of Kallara , in Trivandrum district needs prime importance for setting up of educational institutions for the eradication of educational backwardness of the people of

The area in general and of the Muslim community in particular. As the result of follow up measures taken for the said objectives and after strenuous efforts by Jamiya Mannaniya Islamic Charitable Society, the Government, after longhurdles, sanctioned an Atrs & Science College to the society .The Arabic word MANNANIYA, a qualifying noun of Allah - MANNAN-, which means 'the kind ' has been used to name the College. The College started functioning from 3-7-1995 and the distinguished members of the Jamiya Mannaniya Charitable Society inaugurated Degree classes on 11-8-1995 after the prayer. One more feather was thus added to the crown of social activities being carried out by the society.
