H.H.M.S.P.B N.S.S. Womens College

Founded by the late Bharatha Kesari Sri Mananthu Padmanabhan, the college started functioning in Perunthanni, Thiruvananthapuramin 1950. It is named after Her Highness Maharani Sethu Parvathi Bai who passed the historic Nair Regulation Act which provided security to Nair women.

 

In 1971, the college was shifted to the present campus of thirty acres at Neeramankara. In academic excellence and cultural activities the college has carved a niche of its own. In 1994 the college stood first in the Kerala University with 93.13% pass at the Pre-Degree examination.

Accolades come to the college every year in the form of ranks in examinations and prizes in cultural and athletic meets.

There are about 4000 students and nearly two hundred members on the staff of this college. There are excellent labs, a good library, and Computer and Xerox facilities and Internet facilities. Units of N.C.C. and N.S.S. function very effectively in the college. Forestry Club, Population Education Club, Women’s Cell, Rotaract Club etc. widen the students’ range of knowledge and their perception of the world around them.
